i) Stevenage Cruising Club
ii) Stevenage Offshore Sailing Club
iii) Stevenage Offshore Cruising Club
iv) Stevenage Offshore Cruising Association
v) Stevenage  Cruising Association

Aims and Objectives of the club :-
“mutual & social enjoyment of a pastime”
“to keep in touch with people with the same interests”
“To organise Sailing Events”
“Impart information to each other”
“arrange days out i.e. the weather centre at Bracknell”<\/p>\n

Minutes of meeting held on 18th January 1984

<\/strong><\/span>\"\"It was agreed to call the club
“Stevenage Offshore Cruising Association”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

with the acronym SOCA<\/strong> as the acceptable abbreviation.<\/p>\n

In addition the following Officers were appointed.for the year 1984 to 1985<\/p>\n

President :- Dennis Thorp<\/strong>
Vice President :- Joseph Evanson<\/strong>\"\"
Commodore :- Micheal Roff<\/strong>
Vice Commodore :-  Mary  Ewers<\/strong>
Rear Commodore :- David Swain<\/strong>
Secretary :- Susan Williams<\/strong>
