SOCA Sailing<\/strong> is an active club with members from Hertfordshire<\/strong>, Bedfordshire<\/strong>, Essex<\/strong> and surrounding areas. We also have members from Norfolk<\/strong> and Hampshire<\/strong>. Our members range from beginners to round-the-world sailors, with a number being boat owners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We meet in Welwyn Garden City<\/strong>, Hertfordshire. Our members mainly sail the East Coast<\/strong> (Essex and Suffolk<\/strong>) and the South Coast<\/strong> (Hampshire<\/strong>), however some sail in France, Spain<\/strong> and other foreign locations . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with fellow crew members Richard, Norma and newbie sailor Mark they boarded the Beneteau 45 Nafsika for a memorable two weeks of sailing and exploration.<\/span><\/div>\n

At the last minute the itinerary had been changed to include the Peloponnese, setting off from Kalamata, on to Koroni, followed by several longer passages across the gulfs of Messinia and Laconia. The new course now included the added bonus of a visit to the spectacular historic town of Monemvasia before heading towards the Saronic.<\/span><\/div>\n
