This was the annual nautical themed photo contest which included the opportunity for a pre-Christmas social which was well attended. A selection from the entries will form the basis of a future year’s calendar.<\/td><\/tr>

Presentation<\/td>		Going boldly: across, beneath and beyond the ocean by Jeremy Batch<\/a><\/strong>
A well attended meeting where Jeremy presented a very high tech and entertaining topic.<\/td><\/tr>

A talk was given by Ashley on the work of the Barton Turf Adventure Centre<\/a>.<\/strong>
This is the charity chosen by the 2020, 2021 & 2022 Commodores.<\/td><\/tr>
September<\/em><\/strong>\"\"<\/td>Sailing<\/td>SOCA South Coast Sailing Weekend<\/a><\/strong>
A very enjoyable and well supported sailing event was held mid September. It started for most from Hythe Marina<\/strong> on Saturday 10th September, Cowes<\/strong> on Sunday 11th September. whereas some of the boats had congregated from further afield.
Attending craft were Ariel Spirit<\/strong> (from Hythe), Hypertonic<\/strong> (from Southsea), Jetstream<\/strong> (from Port Solent), Saluki<\/strong> (from Chatham) & Skylark<\/strong> the smallest and traveled the furthest (from R Crouch).<\/td><\/tr>

<\/td>		Shrimpers Rally in Scotland <\/a>\u2013 Geff Briant<\/strong>
A very well attended meeting where a presentation on John and Geff\u2019s trip in the Shrimper SKYLARK<\/strong> to the Firth of Clyde<\/strong> and surrounding Lochs, plus a visit to Mount Stuart<\/strong> on the Isle of Bute<\/strong> and a trip on PS Waverley<\/strong> was given.

\"\"<\/td>		Social<\/td>A social evening was held at Tanya and Stewart’s house in Stevenage.The conversations were varied and was not solely about sailing or boats, although there was discussion of upcoming events. The food provided by Stewart and Tanya was much appreciated by all.<\/td><\/tr>

This year International Shrimper Week was based at Largs on the glorious sailing waters of the Firth of Clyde<\/strong>
John and Geff drove SKYLARK <\/strong>to Largs to join the 2022 International Shrimpers. This trip was the topic covered at the September Meeting.<\/td><\/tr>
